What is a Possessive Noun?
In English Grammar or in Language, A possessive noun is a type of noun and also it is a noun. It is used to refer to the ownership and the connection between the peoples, place and things or the particular things. A noun indicates the names of things. a possessive noun is show the possession of things. A singular noun is shown the one thing so the plural noun is shown the one than more things. In many cases, A possessive noun is commonly is made by using an apostrophe ” s ” to the ends of any noun or name.
If the name of the noun is plural and also it ends with ” s “. Here just need to be added apostrophe. In this sentence, ( The girl’s page rub in a minute ). In this example, ” girl’s ” is a possessive noun just modifying the ” page ” noun. Here it is clear the sentence the page belongs to the girl. ( ‘s ) show the signifies of the ownership.

How do we identify when the noun is possessive?

For example, “girl” could be a proprietary name or “girl” could mean something.

Possessive Plural Nouns
