What is the Possessive form of an animate nouns?
The possessive form of animate nouns is used to indicate that something is referred to as human beings, persons, places, ideas, things, property or relationships. like ( father, brother, mother, teacher, doctor etc ).
We are making a possessive form of an Animate noun by the different using of Rules.

RULE NO 01: Possessive form of Animate nouns
Singular Possessive Nouns:
Singular possessive nouns are used to make by adding an apostrophe ( ‘ ) and an adding of ” s ” to the ending of words.
Example:
- Adnan’s room, Sana’s car, My fiend’s house
Rewrite some sentences by using possessive forms.
1: The car of his brother is red.
- His brother’s car is red.
Here, ( we add ” s “ just make the sentence short and brother is an animate noun because it is a living organism ).
2: That lion has long teeth.
- That lion’s teeth is long.
Here, ( we add ” s “ just make the sentence short and the lion is an animate noun because it is a living organism ).
3: My friend has a big house.
- My friend’s house is big.
Here, ( we add ” s “ just make the sentence short and the friend is an animate noun because it is a living organism ).
4: The name of the daughter is Alisha.
- My daughter’s name is Alisha.
Here, ( we add ” s “ just make the sentence short and the Daughter is an animate noun because it is a living organism ).
5: This toy belongs to Ali.
- This is Ali’s toy.
Here, ( we add ” s “ just make the sentence short and the Ali is an animate noun because it is a living organism ).

RULE NO 02: Possessive form of Animate nouns
Irregular Plural Possessive Noun:
The irregular plural possessive noun is used to make by adding an apostrophe and adding of ” s ” at the ending of the word and irregular plural noun that did not end of the possessive ” s “.
Example:
1: These toys car belong to the child.
- These are the child’s toys car.
Here, ( we add ” s ” to make the sentence short and toys are plural and child is an animate noun because he is a living organism ).
2: Those apples belong to Ahmed.
- Those are Ahmed’s apples.
Here, ( Ahmed’s is Irregular Plural Possessive Noun and apple and Ahmed both are Animate nouns).

RULE NO 03: Possessive form of Animate nouns
Regular Plural Possessive Noun:
The Regular plural possessive nouns are used to make by adding of just ” ‘ ” ( s’ ) Apostrophe at the ending of a noun or any name, Do not add another symbol like as ( s, s”, s: etc )
Example:
1: The mother of the sons is tall.
- The son‘s mother is tall.
Here, ( son and mother both are animate nouns and son’s is a regular plural possessive noun ).
2: The issues of the persons are sad.
- The persons’ issues are sad.
Here, (the ” person ” is an animate noun and also persons’ regular plural possessive noun ).
NOTE: keep in your mind you did not need any use of apostrophe unless something refers to a person, thing, idea or place.
