WhatsApp has been developing separate desktop apps for Windows for a while and has finally released them in beta. You can download it from Microsoft’s Windows App Store. The app itself is based on Windows Universal Platform (UWP) and notifications work even when the app is close There is also a new code that supports multi-device functionality.
